GRANGE RENTAL UPDATE

We hope this message finds you staying safe and well.  In this difficult time of COVID19 and Stay at home orders in the State of Rhode Island, the Friends of the Quonochontaug Grange (FOTQG) appreciate your ongoing understanding and participation in following the state guidelines to help keep us all safe.   Thank you for your support!

Based on the latest news from our Governor, there looks to be a plan being formulated for a phased rollout with the hope of reopening the state while retaining some social distancing and mask guidelines.  We will look to reevaluate the spring/summer season based those guidelines as they unfold.

FOTQG looks forward to a reopening of the Quonnie Grange for public use.  This will be done based on the state mandates/executive orders and guidelines as set forth by the State of RI. We have worked with some of you to postpone, rearrange or cancel your previously scheduled events.  Once we start the reopening process will be continuing to follow the RI State Executive orders and guidance on gathering size, masking and social distancing requirements.

We do not see beginning rentals again until at least the June time frame. FOTQG will continue our regular cleanings during this time.  For our renters that are currently on hold and any new renters, we see three discreet groupings:

Group 1: Monthly Renters: We will continue to work with these groups individually to ensure that they can comply with State requirement and in compliance with mandates/executive orders then in effect.

Group 2: Organizations: Due to the less frequent use and larger group size, we will need to hold off on rentals until further lifting of restrictions is underway and disinfecting guidelines are clarified.  We will revisit this as soon as the State allows large indoor gatherings.

Group 3: Occasional Renters: For example, birthday parties, family parties, social gatherings:

•    We can begin these rentals at this time based on gathering size and our ability to ensure proper disinfecting between rentals.

•    We will accept these rentals on a case by case basis and will continue to revisit this as the situation evolves.  If you are interested in renting the Grange, please contact the building manager, at rentals@quonniegrange.org.

Thank you again for your understanding at this time.  If you have further questions please feel free to email us at rentals@quonniegrange.org.

Wishing you all the best during this unsettling time.
